今回のSunEye Radioの番組テーマは「ブラック・ミュージック・イン・ジャパン」。ジョージ・フロイド事件以降、アメリカと世界中でBlack Lives Matterの抗議デモが広がる中、このミックスは日本がいかにブラック・ミュージックに恩恵を受けてきたか、というポイントに焦点を当てています。このミックスには、1960年代から現代まで、日本でレコーディングされた黒人ミュージシャンによる音源、日本のアーティストとコラボレーションをした黒人アーティスト、ブラック・ミュージックに多大な影響を受けた日本人アーティスト、日本のアーティストによるブラック・ミュージックのカバーなどの楽曲が含まれています。ブラック・ミュージックへの敬愛を込めて、SunEyeが選曲しました。
The theme of this week’s SunEye Radio show is “Black Music in Japan.” In light of the Black Lives Matter protests that have ensued in the US and worldwide after the death of George Floyd, this DJ mix is a celebration of how Black Music has left an indelible mark on the music of Japan. This mix features tracks by Black musicians that were recorded in Japan or created in collaboration with Japanese artists, tracks by Japanese artists that were heavily influenced by Black Music, music released only in Japan by Black artists, and cover versions of Black artists by Japanese artists.
